Within this role the individual will have the opportunity to establish and maintain strong vendor partnerships, manage category profitability, optimize pricing, and identify means to improve the customer experience.
The individual will also be responsible for the management, execution and planning of optimal inventory levels for the e-commerce distribution center.
You should be detail-oriented, able to multitask effectively as well as demonstrate exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Roles And Responsibilities
- Find, connect and develop long sustaining relationships with vendors from different regions of India.
- Conducting interviews with new vendors, assess their products, inquire about their services, negotiate pricing, and communicate any product or service-related concerns.
- Inform approved vendors of their responsibilities and obligations.
- Conducting research on available vendors to determine which vendors offer the best pricing and product quality.
- Establishing standards by which to assess the performance of approved vendors. Implementing vendor selection programs to ensure that the best vendors are secured.
- Evaluating current vendor management programs and identifying ways to improve them.
- Vendor escalations and concise communications.
- Gain customer, products and category knowledge, be an advocate for a quality customer experience, and understand the competition and industry.
- Continually monitoring sales trends to determine which products are more popular than others. Analyse data at an item level to understand what is not selling and why not.
- Looks at multiple parameters of inventory (DOC, pricing competitiveness, lead-times) to identify optimization opportunities.
- Talk to suppliers to understand what more they need from us, their experience working with us Vs other players in the markets and identifies opportunities to create win-win with them. Ensures suppliers continue to consider us as the preferred partner for them.
- Manage healthy inventory cycles and create appropriate buying plans.
Other Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management.
- Perform Sales & Inventory analysis and meet business plan numbers.
- Analyze recommended order quantity and place optimal amount for each online distribution center for each product SKUs.
- Collaboration with E-commerce and Customer Service teams.
- Inform the web catalog department about products that need to be cataloged & photographed.
- Plan, Manage, and Execute Returns of Goods on wrongly ordered items or damaged items.
- Send out a mix of business reports to eCommerce team.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience doing one of several roles: quantitative/financial analysis, retail buying, retail planning allocation, product/project management, pricing, marketing or e-commerce.
- Proficiency & understanding about eCommerce product & service Industry.
- Influencing abilities and vendor management experience.
- Sound Knowledge of MS Office & EXCEL.
- Excellent communication skills - Written & Verbal.
- Strong negotiation, management, and decision-making skills.
- The ability to travel for work.
- Project management and good organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Eager to learn & adopt new techniques and tools.
- Must be very strong in execution and have a target driven mind-set.
Qualifications:
MBA (Preferred) or Bachelor’s Degree
